Leadership can be rewarding, interesting and deeply satisfying. It can also be demanding, messy and, at times, surprisingly lonely.

Space to Lead, Room to Grow is a day away from the day-to-day: time to think, talk, reflect and work out what you want more of, less of, or simply to do differently.

​

We have chosen the Earth Trust location very deliberately. It is surrounded by nature, and gives us the kind of physical and mental space that can be hard to find in everyday working life.

​

This day is for you if:

• You're holding a lot for other people and rarely have enough space to think about yourself

• You want to explore what leadership looks like when it feels genuinely like you

• Something needs to change, but you haven't had the time or headspace to work out what

• You would value honest conversations with other women who understand some of the complexities of leading and managing people

You will get:

• The opportunity to develop clearer sense of what matters to you as a leader and what you want to protect, develop or change.

• Time and space to think properly about you as a leader.

• Practical ideas that you can apply in your workplace.

• The chance to build new connections with other women in leadership.

The day itself

Across five sessions, including special guest speakers, we'll explore different aspects of leadership through ideas, research, discussion and practical activities.

​

There will be plenty of time for conversation, reflection and thinking things through properly, as well as time to learn from the experiences of other women in the room.

​

We want the day to feel welcoming, thoughtful and useful, with space to share experiences, question assumptions and think about what leadership means for you.

​

During the event you will work on a personalised action plan.

​

After the event, you'll be offered a one-to-one online session with one of us. This will give you a chance to revisit your action plan, talk through what you've tried and reflect on what you want to do next.

Who's running this?

​

Space to Lead, Room to Grow is created and facilitated by myself and  Fari Greenaway.

​

Between us, we bring decades of experience in leadership, management, training and developing other people. We also share a strong belief that good leadership doesn't come from squeezing yourself into somebody else's model of what a leader should look like.

​

We wanted to create the kind of day we would value ourselves: thoughtful, practical and honest, in a place that gives people room to think.
